Thanksgiving and petition for the persecuted church

Sunday 1 February 2026

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world”

2 Tim. 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” and Isaiah 41:10 ” Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness”

Isa. 41:10 “Fear thee not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am your God; I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. The Lord gave me this Scripture the first day I got saved and have remembered this from that day”

Phil. 4: 6–7 “Do not be anxious about anything , but in everything make your requests to God ..by prayer, thanksgiving and placing your request to God, the peace of God will guard your heart and mind fully beyond understanding”

Jer. 17:7-8 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit”

Hab. 3:17-19  “Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet will I rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as sure footed as a deer, able to tread upon the heights”

Rom. 8:18  “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us”

Psalm 32:7  “You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance”

Matthew 9:37-38 “Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

Matthew 16:18 “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the forces of Hades will not overpower it.”

Hebrews 5:12-14 “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.”
